Friday 9:30am – Qi Gong

Our mission is to be a vibrant caring community providing a safe and caring place that nurtures health and well-being for those undergoing treatment or recovering from Cancer.

What is Qi Gong:

Qi Gong is a Complementary Therapy used to improve general wellbeing and quality of life and can help people to cope with the side effects of cancer.

Qi Gong is an activity that cultivates energy through the steady practice of simple movement and breathing techniques.  Participants gain a better sense of balance and are less likely to suffer from an injury due to a fall.  Participants build better and stronger respiratory function through the use of the breathing techniques which benefits those who suffer from asthma.  Qi Gong can be done either sitting or standing.  The slow rhythmic movements make it easier for anyone who has physical limitations.
